ABOUT OUR SPORTS ACADEMY
Little Warriors Sports Academy, a nonprofit educational and service organization, is dedicated to the ongoing development of youth athletes, coaches, clubs, and leagues in an inclusive, safe, affordable, and fun environment. LWSA provides various programs, and one of the club’s main goals is to provide programs and opportunities for players and staff at a local, regional, and national level. Our organization is committed to developing players to their maximum potential and life-long enrichment.

Steven Chan
Coach Steven is truly the backbone of the club. He has been a constant presence, supporting coaches across all teams and programs with dedication and reliability. No matter the situation, Steven is always ready to step in with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
His contributions go far beyond day-to-day support—he helps bring structure, stability, and a positive environment for both players and staff. Steven’s selfless approach and willingness to do whatever it takes make him an invaluable part of the Warriors Sports Academy family.

Nanzhou (Wade) Che
Coach Wade has been an integral part of Warriors Sports Academy since 2022. He is dedicated to developing, supporting, and inspiring players both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy closely aligns with the club’s core values, emphasizing player development and long-term progression above all else. Coach Wade creates a training environment that is both intense and enjoyable, helping players grow not only in their physical abilities but also in their mental strength, confidence, and understanding of the game. Coach Wade has also been helping kids from Sammamish community to enjoy and have fun with soccer during past years.

Vitalii Ovechko
Coach Vitalii brings a wealth of professional playing experience into his coaching, using it to guide players through every aspect of the modern game. He focuses on skill acquisition, helping players build strong technical foundations through repetition, confidence, and game-realistic training. From an attacking perspective, Coach Vitaly emphasizes movement, creativity, and understanding key attacking concepts such as spacing, timing, and decision-making in the final third. At the same time, he teaches the importance of defending as a team, ensuring players understand positioning, responsibility, and transition moments. Beyond tactics, his philosophy is centered on playing beautiful, intelligent soccer—not just chasing results but developing a true understanding and love of the game. He encourages players to control the ball, maximize their touches, and express themselves on the field. His sessions are designed to be both demanding and enjoyable, creating an environment where players can grow, have fun, and truly enjoy the game.

Dmytro (Dimitri) Zavozin
Coach Dimitri Zavozin was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and brings a lifelong passion for football shaped by his early development in the CSKA Kyiv youth system. With a foundation built on structured, disciplined, and competitive football, he views the game as a system of decision-making, space, and timing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from NTUU KPI, which strongly influences his coaching approach. Coach Dimitri focuses not only on player performance, but on how players think, learn, and respond to pressure. His training emphasizes both technical and tactical development, along with mental strength, confidence, and decision-making. Known for his thoughtful and purposeful coaching style, Coach Dimitri creates training environments that challenge players while fostering enjoyment, resilience, and long-term growth—helping each player build confidence, character, and a genuine love for the game.

Oleksii (Alex) Medviediev
Coach Alex is a true developer of players, committed to long-term growth rather than short-term results. He is consistently present with his team, working patiently and deliberately to guide each player’s progression. His coaching philosophy emphasizes intelligent soccer—prioritizing decision-making, ball control, and understanding of the game over simply clearing the ball under pressure. Beyond coaching, Coach Alex is also a highly respected referee in the local community. His deep knowledge of the game’s structure, rules, and competitive environment brings valuable insight to both players and the club. This unique perspective allows him to better prepare his teams, helping them adapt and succeed within the broader soccer landscape. Coach Alex has been also coaching middle school from LWSD.

Sebastian Garcia
Coach Sebastian has extensive experience working with Titans and EFC, with a strong focus on both technical and tactical player development. He is known for helping players build a deeper understanding of the game, enabling them to make smarter decisions and perform effectively on the field. A natural leader, Coach Sebastian creates strong connections with players and their families, fostering a positive and supportive environment that promotes both growth and confidence.

Xiongfei Ran
Coach Ran graduated from Southeast Normal University with a degree in Physical Education and brings a unique blend of experience as a player, coach, and mentor. He is also widely recognized as a former popular soccer commentator in China, giving him a deep and analytical understanding of the game at the highest levels. With exposure to clubs across the Chinese Super League, England Premier League, Italy Serie A, and German Bundesliga leagues. Coach Ran has extensive insight into player development pathways—from beginner stages to college, semi-professional, and professional levels. His international and cultural background allows him to connect effectively with players from diverse environments. Coach Ran specializes in working with beginner players, focusing on building strong technical foundations and instilling confidence early in their development journey.

Tao Shen
Coach Tao Shen is a well-respected figure in the local soccer community, with extensive experience coaching semi-professional, college and youth clubs, including Bellevue Athletic, Bellevue College and Eagle claw. Over the past four years with Warriors, he has played a key role in developing players and elevating the club’s standard. Coach Tao is dedicated to building intelligent players who understand the game and play attractive, effective soccer. He consistently emphasizes daily discipline, hard work, and commitment, helping players develop the habits needed to achieve their long-term goals. As Junior Director, coach Tao holds USSF C license. He also runs 425 Allin Training to help players to think, compete, and grow through the game.

Daniel Deresh
Coach Daniel brings over 40 years of experience in soccer, offering a comprehensive perspective shaped by his time as a player, coach, and referee. He began his playing career in a European youth academy and continued through high school and collegiate soccer in the United States. He also had the honor of representing the U.S. in an international tournament.
As a coach, Daniel has led a high school team to a #1 state ranking and has spent multiple years coaching both high school and middle school teams. He has also organized and led training clinics for middle and high school players, focusing on technical development, game intelligence, and confidence on the field.
In addition to coaching, Daniel has extensive refereeing experience across multiple levels, including high school, ECNL, and adult leagues. His well-rounded background allows him to support player development from every angle, helping athletes grow both on and off the field.
